Rachel Colella
Rachel is responsible for assisting our clients to manage complex community and stakeholder engagement on sensitive projects, especially those with a social and environmental interface.
Immediately prior to joining Consentium, Rachel led community engagement at the South Australian Environment Protection Authority for almost a decade. In this role Rachel managed the community and stakeholder engagement on activities of heightened community interest. She has over 20 years’ experience in being at the public interface of both the public and private sectors across Australia and London. Her roles have included directly supporting the Federal Human Rights Commissioner of Australia, the NSW Minister for Roads, Transport and Leader of the House and the SA Minister for the Arts, Transport and the Status of Women.
In the private sector, Rachel worked for Merrill Lynch in London and for Santos in Adelaide. In the last 15 years, Rachel has been providing strategic communication and engagement services to government. Prior to this she consulted and specialised in the provision of high level communication, engagement and stakeholder management, as well as project planning, development and management services to government and industry.
Some of the major stakeholder engagement strategies Rachel has managed include Environment Protection Authority licensed sites, communities affected by environmental health issues, and some of Adelaide’s largest and most complex water, rail and road infrastructure projects.
